Fight Hives With Vitamins And Herbs That Contain Anti-Histamine Properties

The following are some of the drugs and other substances that most commonly cause outbreaks of hives in susceptible people: animals, aspirin, allopurinol, antimony, antipyrine, barbituarates, BHA, BHT, bismuth, cancer, chloral hydrate, chlorpromazine, cologne or perfume, corticotrophin, environmental factors, eucalyptus, exercise, fluorides, food allergies, food colorings and preservatives, gold, griseofulvin, hyperthyroidism, infections, insect bites, insulin, iodines, liver extract, makeup, menthol, meprobamate, mercury, morphine, opium, para-aminosalicylic acid, penicillin, phenacetin, Phenobarbital, pilocarpine, plants, poliomyelitis vaccine, potassium sulfocyanate, preservatives, procaine, promethazine, quinine, reserpine, saccharin, salicylates, soaps, shampoo, sulfites, tartrazine, and thiamine hydrochloride.
Other possible hives-provoking substances are being identified with increasing frequency. Meat, dairy, and poultry products are increasingly being associated with hives, especially those in frozen or fast foods. This is probably because many farmers and ranchers often give their livestock antibiotics in order to prevent disease or infection. These antibiotics are not affected by freezing, processing, or cooking. Many allergic reactions have been traced to antibiotics in milk, soft drinks, and frozen dinners.
The following nutrients have been recommended for the treatment and prevention of hives: acidophilus, flaxseed oil, garlic, a multivitamin and mineral complex, quercetin, vitamin B complex, C vitamin with bioflavonoids, vitamin D3, and vitamin E.
Additionally, the following herbs may be beneficial: alfalfa, bilberry extract, cat’s claw, chamomile, Echinacea, ginseng, licorice, nettle, sarsaparilla, yellow dock, aloe vera gel, black nightshade, and red alder tree leaves and bark.
Look to your local or internet health food store for great vitamin supplements and herbal supplements to help with hives. Many herbs and vitamins have anti-histamine properties as well as anti-inflammatory properties that can help fight out break of hives one may experience through out your life.
