selling houses
I have recently been thinking about selling my house and as with a lot of subjects similar to this have been trying to work out what the best way to make the house really attractive before we either sell our house or stay in it for a bit longer. I began by looking at different rooms in the house and considering what I could do to better them and iron out the issues I might feel about them.
Central to my house is the kitchen so I began by looking at the kitchen layout, our kitchen is a fitted kitchen which is quite east to use with a useful work space (fortunately I spoke to a near by kitchen business about kitchen planning ahead of purchasing). The floor was a bit of an issue with only lino layed which had got a little chewed up as I had moved washing machines and fridges about in it. I sought out some tiling advice from a local business to get the floor tiles that would work in with the kitchen units ensuring that the room didn’t appear to dark (just a few of the little things you have to consider when you want to sell your house, initial impressions need to be just right within the small time people have to look at you house).
I then needed to make sure the bathroom was up to scratch, my bathroom layout was a little cramped due to some fitted cupboards which once taken out gave me a lot more space (which if you are going on initial view could help sell my house). Once again I popped down to the area tiler for some useful tiling advice and went for larger light tiles which appeared to open the space in the bathroom, just one of the many things to be considering when buying bathroom tiles.
The other rooms I decorated with a neutral light colour which seemed to draw the rooms out and gave the whole house a fresh look. I then took out as much clutter as I could and boxed everything that wasn’t necessary away in the garage. The final thing, a house that I wanted to remain in, but after just one or two viewings brought to me from an online property site I have got some serious interest, so fingers crossed ill be able to sell my house soon.
