For the benefit of those people who have lived in a cave for the past few years, social media is probably the most talked about topic on the internet. Companies like Twitter, Facebook, Linkedin etc have become household names almost overnight. They have achieved staggering numbers in terms of ‘followers’ or ‘fans’ and everyone seems to be tweeting or chatting and connecting with old and new friends all over the world.

Of course it didn’t take long for some of the so called internet marketing gurus to jump on the bandwagon and start selling their programmes to teach you how to make a fortune by simply playing around on your key board all day long. If they are to be believed it would seem that no business is a proper business unless it connects with its customers and prospects in the new hip, funky way!

We have customers booking jobs on vis Twitter, Facebook and Linkdin – we’re on them all, all of a sudden the phones go quite and the hub bub from the BT router in the corner starts kicking off…job on!!!!
