Youth Cowboy Boots
If you are from Texas like I am then you are used to seeing children in cowboy boots. And I not just talking about the run of the mill boots here. Today they make youth cowboy boots in just about all the exotic skins that they make adult cowboy boots in.
Ostrich, snake, etc. These can be, and in most cases, are very expensive. But if you have the money and that’s the look you want for your child, then go for it.
But for most of us, we have to opt for something a little more reasonably priced like regular leather. When you consider how long a decent pair of boots will last versus how fast a child will grow, you figure out that boot will still be in great shape when the child’s feet grow too large to fit comfortably any longer.
What should you look for in a youth cowboy boot? Since they are generally made pretty well, (even the inexpensive ones) most people opt to pay more attention to the design and style instead of the stitching, etc.
The main thing you want is for the fit to be comfortable enough for the child to wear it. Some people fall into the trap of buying youth cowboy boots the same way they buy adult cowboy boots. As an adult you buy boots that start out being really snug because you know the material will stretch and the boots will be really comfortably later. You can’t buy youth cowboy boots that way because the chi lds foot will grow and if you start out with a snug fit, within a very short period of time you will have a nice pair of boots that your child’s feet will not slip into any longer.
